Sara McMann faces another top striker

Undefeated fighter and Olympic medalist Sara McMann (7-0) proved me wrong in her last fight against “The German Tank” Sheila Gaff (10-5-1) back in April.

I had expected Gaff, who has an excellent kickboxing background, to land some shots to keep the fight standing, turned into McMann scoring a TKO after getting a mounted crucifix. It’s true that Gaff had never faced someone with the wrestling credentials of someone like McMann and she may have had some jitters of being in the octagon for the first time.

Still, McMann proved that not only could she withstand punishment from one of the most dangerous kickboxers in women’s MMA, but also keep up with the best fighters in the world. She is set to do this again as she faces former Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight champion Sarah Kaufman at the Fox Sports 1 event , Aug. 28
