Munah Holland brings a lot to Invicta flyweight division

There is a storm coming to Invicta Fighting Championships and it is going to be a perfect one.

Invicta FC recently announced the signing of Bellator veteran Munah “The Perfect Storm” Holland. While this is a chance for Holland to once again fight on a big stage, this also benefits Invicta FC’s 125-pound division.

Although there are some exciting fighters in the flyweight division, including Vanessa Porto, Leslie “The Peacemaker” Smith and Barb Honchak, the promotion should have more fighters in the 125-pound class to make it as stacked as their other divisions.

Of course that is also easier said than done because the flyweight division can be a weight class where it is difficult to find talent.

Some flyweights will move down to strawweight in hopes of finding success while others will move up to bantamweight because of the attention the 135-pound division has been getting since the UFC established their own women’s bantamweight division, not to mention the great fights put on by Invicta’s own bantamweight fighters.

Prior to signing with Invicta, The Perfect Storm has accumulated a 5-2, with three of her wins coming by way of knockout. Her last fight was against Michelle Ould back in September 2012, where she lost by decision, Before her fight against Ould, Holland had been riding a four-fight winning streak that included a second-round knockout victory over Carina Damm.

She also has an extensive background in kickboxing, boxing and Muay Thai, which could make her one of the flyweight division’s most dangerous fighters when it comes to striking.

The details of Holland’s deal have not been disclosed at the moment and there is currently no set date for her debut. Still, Invicta fans will be cheering when The Perfect Storm arrives at the Invicta cage.
