Matt Brown faces Carlos Condit at UFC on Fox 9

Matt “The Immortal” Brown will be in the biggest fight of his career this December.

UFC officials announced that Brown will face former UFC Interim Welterweight champion “The Natural Born Killer” Carlos Condit at the UFC on Fox 9 event, Dec. 14.

The Immortal one has been on an impressive six-fight winning streak and has certainly earned this match against a top contender like Condit.

Even though the voting will be finished for most websites and publications, this match has a potential to be a “Fight of the Year” candidate, which is interesting because Brown’s fight with Jordan Mein and Condit’s fight with Johny Hendricks are up there for “2013 Fight of the Year.”

I think this match will be a war in the stand up as both men have great striking and a combined 25 knockouts. I also think Condit has an advantage when it comes to the submission and grappling game, but anything can happen in MMA and Brown could pull off a submission victory of his own.

The winner of this match should either get a shot at the welterweight championship in the future or get a crack at Ben Askren if the Bellator champion signs with the UFC.
