Shields vs. Hemingway

One of the fights that had everyone on the edge of their seats was the rematch between Olympic gold medalist Claressa Shields and Tika Hemingway in the semifinal of the women’s middleweight tournament.

Hemingway, who is coming off long layoff, gave Shields trouble throughout the fight, landing many combinations. Shields regained her composure late in the match and fired back. In the end, Shields got the split-decision and will not only advance to the final round against Raquel Miller, who defeated Naomi Graham, but also advanced to the Olympic trials.
