Invicta Fighting Championships announced it signed Amberlynn “ALO” Orr to its bantamweight division.
Orr comes in with an impressive 12-1 amateur record, including a first-round finish over Jen Pomante.
vs Alyssa Vasquez 135 Title Fight
The interesting thing is Orr’s lengthy run at amateur. In this day and age, it’s common for amateur fighters to move up to the pro rankings after 1-3 ammy bouts. Some jump straight into the frey. Yet Orr took her time and racked up an impressive list of highlight worthy finishes – seven submission wins and three KO/TKOs.
vs. Miki Rogers
Orr is a police officer – thank you for your service Amberlynn – yet she’s been able to fully her energy into the sport.
Tonya Evinger currently sits at the top of Invicta’s 135-pound division and is coming off what would have been her first successful title defense had her opponent made weight. There’s no question that Evinger brings a well-rounded MMA game, but looking at Orr’s fight resume, she’s got good grappling and hands.
Orr’s opponent hasn’t been announced at this time.
